The Adnyamathanha language group, also known as 'the rock people', used to freely roam the area which is now Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park for generations. This area has a rich human and natural history, featuring stunning geological structures, vibrant colors, and diverse textures. The beauty of the pine and river red gum trees is truly remarkable. Additionally, geologists have discovered significant fossil evidence of a wide variety of animals that once thrived in this area.
