As a tree hunter and photographer, I've been watching this specimen of grass tree in the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park in South Australia for decades. Determined to capture a stunning Xanthorrhoea sunrise, I planned to arrive before the first light every day. The first attempt proved a stroke of luck, as I captured the perfect combination of a stunning sunrise and beautiful cloud formation.
