This straggly Ghost Gum has seeded between what one could describe as being trapped between a ‘rock and a hard place.’ I see it as a metaphor for courage in the face of adversity. I like to revisit and re-photograph progress occasionally; I must admit that there is little noticeable change even after several decades. Nonetheless, the trees remain the same year after year, as though driven by some inner desire to survive.
