I had the privilege of witnessing this magnificent eastern grey kangaroo, Joey, grow up unrestrained on bushland property outside my studio door. Watching it take its first clumsy steps, its bonding interactions with its mum, and finally, witnessing its mastery of running was a wonderful experience.
