Mangroves create a community for other plants and animals, such as crabs and a multitude of fishes. I find the artful twists and turns of these critical and distinctive trees irresistible as subjects — an excellent life metaphor for our need to develop multiple skills for whatever twists and turns may lie ahead in our personal lives.
