Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre National Park protects dry desert landscapes, the nation's largest salt lake and the lowest point on the mainland. When I first visited in April 2010 it was about seventy percent full. I spent three days flying the region and the experience has been the highlight of my 50 plus years photographing Australia.
