Platypuses are long-lived creatures with a unique reproductive process. Females incubate their eggs for ten days, showing their nurturing side. This is followed by a lactation period that lasts 3-4 months, during which the young are cared for in the burrow. In captivity and the wild, platypuses can live up to approximately 20 years, a testament to their resilience.
