The Three Sisters MR4291

Download
The legend of the Three Sisters tells the story of three sisters (Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo) from the Katoomba tribe who fell in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe. However, tribal law forbade their marriage. The brothers decided to capture the sisters by force, leading to a major tribal battle. To protect the sisters, an elder turned them to stone, but he was killed in the fighting, leaving the sisters petrified. This legend is said to be an Indigenous Australian Dreamtime legend and is associated with the Blue Mountains National Park, a World Heritage Area in New South Wales.
