The scalloped hammerhead shark can be observed either alone, in small groups, or even in large schools, which can number in the hundreds. Younger sharks tend to swim closer to the surface, while the adults are typically found much deeper in the ocean. They are not considered dangerous and are usually not aggressive towards humans.
