The region known as Mulga country is inhabited by plants and animals that have adapted to thrive in low rainfall and high temperatures. Mulga scrublands can be found in areas with approximately 250mm of rainfall per year. In tropical conditions, the poor-quality soils can endure up to 400mm of rainfall. The landforms vary and typically exhibit a reddish color, featuring tall shrubs that offer minimal shade.
