Named after the original Banyjima word for the Hamersley Ranges, Karijini National Park is the second-largest and perhaps the most surprising national park in Western Australia. Its remarkably steep, shaded gorges and wonderful watercourses defy its location in one of Australia’s hottest regions, although winter nights can be cold and frosty. After rain, the park flourishes with various wildflowers, softening the rugged terrain. Dale's Gorge, one of the park's most popular walks, showcases this beautiful landscape.
