Red and Green Kangaroo Paw has a special status as Western Australia's floral emblem and has proudly promoted WA's floral heritage for many years. These striking plants display stunningly in sandy coastal areas bordering the Southern and Indian Oceans from Manjimup in the south and almost up to Shark Bay. They are also found in the bushland surrounding Perth. The bright red stems invite honeyeaters and wattlebirds to land on them and probe the brilliant green furry floral tubes for nectar.
