This straggly Ghost Gum has seeded between what one could describe as a ‘rock and a hard place.’ I see it as a metaphor for courage in the face of adversity. I like to revisit and re-photograph progress from time to time; I must admit that there is little noticeable change even after a decade or more. Nonetheless, the trees remain the same year after year, driven by some inner desire to survive.
