Saltwater Crocodile WL131822

The experience of spending time with a traditional custodian on the East Alligator River searching for saltwater crocodiles left a lasting impression on me. As we cruised the river, I was astounded by his ability to spot crocodiles that were almost invisible to my eye. Aboriginal people are familiar with these creatures and their behaviours both on land and water, and it was fascinating to learn from someone who had such an intimate understanding of them.
