I took the original picture at Kalamurina, a Wildlife Conservancy Property on the shores of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. This area is where three major rivers meet and provides a home for various desert wildlife. In 2010, flood waters from the north first filled Lake Eyre here. When the Thomson River meets Lake Eyre, there are stunning water channels with curves and sweeping lines. I've highlighted the landscape's shapes, shadows, colours, and textures to express my passion for this area. The late celebrated abstractionist John Olsen inspired my interest in creating abstract art from this region.
