Sulphur-crested cockatoos are found widely in the north and east of Australia, ranging from the Kimberley to Tasmania. They are common in suburban habitats in cities such as Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane, and their distinctive raucous call is synonymous with the Australian bush. This individual visited my house in Brisbane almost daily for half a decade, looking for food.
