The area surrounding Liffey Falls has been a meeting place for Tasmanian Aborigines for thousands of years prior to the colonization of Australia. The Liffey River was initially called Tellerpangger by the Panninher clan, who inhabited the area. This is a remarkably photogenic area, and while walking down to the falls is short, it can take hours to walk with an eye to the surrounding beauty.
