Unghbanyahletta Country MR126058
Mt. Wellington, standing 4,165 feet high and crowned with dolerite, exhibits striking vertical jointing. Its slopes are strewn with massive dolerite boulders, continuously shaped by frost riving and shattering. Residents of Hobart are truly fortunate to have this magnificent mountain, with all its changing moods, virtually in their backyard. Known also by its Indigenous names, Unghbanyahletta or Poorawetter, Mt. Wellington is a natural treasure of Tasmania.
