Fearlessness BI134549
The willie wagtail is a pursuit predator that chases air bourne insects. This tiny bundle of energy flashes its wings and wagging its tail while foraging. It is believed that this constant movement flushes insects into the open and that the rapid changes in light intensity startle insects. Aggressive and territorial, wagtails will often harass larger birds such as the laughing kookaburra and even the wedge-tailed eagle!
