The tropical rainforest, a globally acknowledged wonder, is one of the planet's most endangered wild places. This fantastic green world, a heartland for artistic inspiration and a major photographic challenge, is in dire need of our protection. I have spent years revelling with the shades of green and brown, and the twists and turns of a grand old fig tree that is perpetually on a journey towards the sun. It's our responsibility to ensure the survival of this beauty.
