Front Line RLF2500
The Pieman River is an important perennial river located in the west coast region of Tasmania, Australia. This series of images titled 'Front Line' (prints one through 6), was created one very special morning mid-year 2015. The becalmed river, a clear sky, a thinning mist and a rising sun, were a perfect combination for creating memorable series of images in a spectacular wild place. These images are symbolic for me of a wilderness frontier under considerable and current threat of development. The Tarkine Region is currently one of the Nations conservation front lines in a battle to save a unique region from mining claims.
