The Barossa Valley, a wine-producing region and tourist destination in South Australia is located 60 kilometres northeast of Adelaide. The valley, formed by the North Para River, is connected by the Barossa Valley Way, linking the main towns of Nuriootpa, Rowland Flat, Lyndoch, and Tanunda, which are the focus of this piece. The Barossa Trail, a 40-kilometer walking and cycling path, passes through these towns. The area has a rich history, with evidence of occupation by the traditional owners, the Peramangk people, for thousands of years, a culture we deeply respect and appreciate.
