Mother and Young Tree Kangaroos WL101012
Lumholtz's tree-kangaroo are generally solitary animals, except for male-female mating and the long, intimate mother-joey relationship. They move through the canopy at night in search of leaves and fruit. The day is spent resting on a sturdy branch. They usually live alone but are sometimes seen feeding in small groups. They are found in the highland rainforest between Mt Spurgeon and the Cardwell Range in Queensland.
