The Look of a Warrior BI3860
The blue-faced honeyeater (Entomyzon cyanotis), also known as the Bananabird, is a passerine bird of the honeyeater family. They regularly visit my bird bath, especially during dry spells. Males and females have a similar external appearance, with adults having a warrior war-paint look, featuring vivid blue areas of bare skin on each side of the face. Found in open woodland, parks, and gardens, the blue-faced honeyeater is common in northern and eastern Australia and southern New Guinea.
