A Time of Plenty RC243198
Budgerigar, western Queensland near Boulia, flock sunrise, sunset Budgerigar flock, western Queensland near Boulia, flock In the vast, arid expanse of Australia, the grand old mulga tree stands tall as the main base for the emerald green budgerigars and the pink and grey galahs during their waterhole operations. It's a sight to behold as these colourful birds flit and flutter around the tree, taking shelter as soon as they sense a predatory bird flying past them. Such occurrences are common during times of plenty when food is abundant. It's amazing how nature has its way of protecting its creatures and ensuring their survival.
