The Wandering Whistler BI102424
The wandering whistling duck, formerly known as tree ducks, received its new name due to its loud whistling calls and the whistling noise made by its wings during flight. These ducks primarily feed on grasses, waterlilies, water plants, and occasionally on insects and aquatic vertebrates. Wandering, whistling ducks live in deep lagoons, flooded grasslands, and dams. They are predominantly aquatic and seldom venture far from the shore. They are proficient swimmers and divers.
