MacKenzie Falls is one of Australia's most spectacular waterfalls. The Grampians have been described as "a giant full stop to the Great Dividing Range," a range that runs the full length of Australia from the tip of Cape York in Queensland. MacKenzie Falls is the most iconic and spectacular waterfall in the Grampians and one of my favorites in terms of graphic structure in Australia. Known as Gariwerd by local Indigenous people, the region has been home to the Djab Wurrung and Jardwardjali people for 20,000 years and contains the densest concentration of rock art paintings and the largest assemblage of Aboriginal art motifs in Victoria.
