West MacDonnell Ranges lie primarily in Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park in the Northern Territory due west of Alice Springs. I like to revisit the area every two or so years and find these ranges picturesque regarding of morning or afternoon light. The greening in this image was as a result of consistent and heavy rains in the area. The distant mountains include the highest, Mt Sonder.
