The Inner Voice BI191155

For those of us pursuing a holistic life, trusting our inner voice can be the ultimate challenge. In nature, there are many metaphors to inspire. Herons can remain still for hours, waiting and waiting for the tide to bring food within striking range. Just before striking, they move their heads side to side and sway both their heads and necks side to side or backward and forward to increase their binocular resolution to gauge the required distance for a strike. When a strike is unsuccessful, the egret persists and repeats the activity until success is assured – over and over and over, if necessary. Persistence is yet another life lesson from nature.
