In 1976 I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Raine Island for a week. Raine Island is one of the world's largest green sea turtle rookeries. It is also the breeding ground for countless seabirds. The island perches above deep shark-infested waters and some of the most spectacular coral drop-offs I have ever seen.
