Playful Joeys WL238313
The Tasmanian Devil is marsupial, and its young are called joeys, just like wombats and koalas. A mother devil can give birth to around 20-40 joeys at once, roughly the same size as a grain of rice. However, the mother devil only has four teats to nurse her young, so only four joeys typically survive in one litter. This is a curious Tasmanian Devil pup about a year old tucked away in its den with three other siblings.
