Forest, woodlands and coastal heath are this species’ preferred environment of the Red-necked Wallaby. Groups of 30 form to feed on abundantly grassed areas, but this species is mostly solitary and nocturnal. Females breed year round. The behaviour in this images is suggested to be a young female interacting with her female parent.
