This image is about both geological form and fantasy for me, and the tension between the two has produced this outcome. I find tension originates either externally or internally, and more often than not a combination of the two. Tension may heighten my awareness, sharpen the senses and foster creative thinking. The trick then, I find, is to make it work for me rather than against me, and one way to do that is to be self-aware and attuned to my centre being as silent and still as I can in the space I am in. Karlu Karlu is the local Aboriginal term for both the rock features and the surrounding area. Karlu Karlu / Devils Marbles Conservation Reserve, Northern Territory.
