North-west Western Australia’s Marglu Billabong in Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve is a vital waterbird feeding and breeding area. It is also a stopover point for migratory waders, some of which travel from as far afield as Siberia. I spent a day from dawn to dusk in a well-positioned low-level bird hide and came away with a fantastic array of images from the bird-rich lagoon.
